Casey's General Store Design Plan for Greenville
Over the last couple of months, the Town Council and town engineer have been reviewing design plans and building ordinances with Casey's General Store. The project has moved forward and next month engineers from the Casey's construction division are slated to meet with the Town Council. The planned construction is at the corner of Hwy 150 and Cross St. in the town center.
The third Casey's store ever built was in a small community with a population of only 1,500 - Waukee, Iowa. This was the first Casey's built totally from scratch and proved to be the best store to date. At that point, the founder realized he was on to something and decided to establish the stores in communities with a population of 5,000 or less.
Through the years, Casey's success has been attributed to clean stores, restrooms, and the friendly employees who pride themselves in customer service. Casey's customers have come to know that inside each store they will find dedicated, helpful, and well-trained employees, exceptional prepared food items, and a clean environment in which to shop.
Casey's General Stores is continually working towards building more sustainable stores to lessen our impact on the environment, and to build safer stores for our employees, customers and the communities we serve.
There are over 20 different projects within the new construction program. Some initiatives include the LED light rollout, water saving practices, and improving HVAC units and refrigeration systems.
As of March 2017, Casey's had 1,963 stores in 15 states (84 in Indiana). The store makes fresh food which includes donuts, sub sandwiches, pizza, and appetizers.
